Who do the messages I send via YouLi come from? And where do the replies go?

YouLi makes it very easy to get started and send messages to your TRAVELERS. We understand that your brand is what matters and we make it so they REPLY-TO to you, not YouLi

WITH Email Authentication for your Domain

If you have White Label Email Sending - the email will still send FROM your configured domain for email authentication reasons, but the FRIENDLY FROM and the REPLY-TO will be the user who has sent the message.

So if it's the Main Contact on the TRIP it might look something like this:

User is: "Travel Co" <info@travelcompany.com>

Then the actual email headers will look like this:

From: “Travel Co” <info@travelcompany.com>
Reply-to: <info@travelcompany.com>

So any reply will go to:

info@travelcompany.com

Or if the User has an email address on another domain, for example:

User is: "Mr George" <george@gmail.com>

Then when he sends from himself, the actual email headers will look like this:

From: “Mr George” <info@travelcompany.com>
Reply-to: <george@gmail.com>

So any reply will go to:

george@gmail.com

Without Email Authentication for your Domain

If you do NOT have White Label Email Sending - the email will still send FROM youli.io, for email authentication reasons, but the FRIENDLY FROM and the REPLY-TO will be the user who has sent the message.

So if it's the Main Contact on the TRIP it might look something like this:

User is: "Travel Co" <info@travelcompany.com>

Then the actual email headers will look like this:

From: “Travel Co” <reply@youli.io>
Reply-to: <info@travelcompany.com>

So any reply will go to:

info@travelcompany.com

This means that when the TRAVELER hits reply, they will send an email to <info@travelcompany.com> (not reply@youli.io)

Or if the User has an email address on another domain, for example:

User is: "Mr George" <george@gmail.com>

Then when he sends from himself, the actual email headers will look like this:

From: “Mr George” <reply@youli.io>
Reply-to: <george@gmail.com>

So any reply will go to:

george@gmail.com

NOTE: We strongly recommend upgrading to get White Label Email Sending so we can send from your domain. But not to worry, the replies always go to the email address that was selected when sending

Example Use Case

If you are working with a partner or agent who is invited to co-plan your TRIPS, they will probably have a different email domain than you do.

But they can still send emails (if they have permission) from the TRIP and they will still get the replies.

Check above for the case where: "User has an email address on another domain"

Troubleshooting

Sometimes people do email reply@youli.io by mistake. If that gets to our support team, we tell them to reach out to the owner of the TRIP. 

We also have an auto-reply telling them to return to their TRIP and click to Contact Us to reach out to their TRIP PLANNER.

YouLi does not handle TRAVELER inquiries about TRIPS.
