Smooth out Traveler Payment Schedules

Watch this video to see these features in action:

📦 Ability to move an Allocation from one Installment to another

  • If you're finding there's an issue with an Invoice, it could be because an allocation is on the wrong installment. This happens sometimes, with Transfers or Chip Away or Manual Payments that weren't applied correctly.
  • When a payment is against the balance, it triggers "skipped" installments - if you're seeing that and would prefer to avoid that, please use this new feature to MOVE the installment from the balance.

💸 Allocate a Manual Payment to an Installment that is Partially Paid

  • If a TRAVELER has paid an Installment, but then you receive an extra payment (maybe because they added an Add-on) you can apply that as a "partial" Manual Payment to the previously paid Installment (thus avoiding the "skipped" Installments that happen when a payment is made to the Balance).
  • Previously, you could not allocate another manual payment if there was already a partial payment made to that Installment. So you might have allocated to the Balance before it's the right time (triggering Skipped Installments).
  • This is very helpful if you've setup a monthly payment schedule, but they are sending checks or bank transfers on a weekly basis, so your finance team is recording them as manual payments
  • NOW: You can allocate a payment to any Installment. The default will be the next Installment that has a due amount.

🎗️ Skipped Installments no longer send reminders

  • We introduced "skipped" Installments this year to handle cases where people pay in full - but then their price increases for some reason.
  • Reminders never send if the TRAVELER owes $0, but if they do owe greater than $0, reminders were still sending for "skipped" installments. Those are now stopped.
  • So if you need someone who had paid in full and now owes a bit extra to get a reminder - you'll need to send it manually from "Manage Payments."

🌐 Location link now opens in a new tab on Highlights & Itinerary

When using the Location field on a Highlight or Itinerary, that link automatically goes to a Google Maps window. Now it also opens in a new tab.

🐞💪 Bugs & Enhancements

👭 Paying Separately - one paid in full, the other still owes - FIXED

When using the Book together/Pay separately feature, it's possible for one person to pay in full and the other to still owe their deposit.

There was a bug that blocked the second person from paying their Installments; in this case that has now been fixed.
