😍 Square now available for all USD plans

Even if you're just starting out, now you have one more regarding your connected gateway: Square.

Our default payment gateway is Stripe, and we also offer connections to PayPal, Authorize. Net and Cybersource. 

Why would you want Square as your payment gateway?

  • Stripe is not suitable for your business based on their terms/policies
  • Square terms are more applicable to your business
  • You already have a Square account that you're comfortable with

NOTE: Square is only compatible with Credit Card payments, so if you need ACH or Afterpay, we recommend using Stripe.

How to get access to Square as your payment gateway

Go to Account -> Payments. 

SORRY! We can only support Square for Trips selling in USD (as the currency) for all plan types outside of Enterprise (Explorer, PRO, Venture, etc.). However, we can support any currency, while using Square, at the Enterprise level.

🗒️ Notes for Pending Payments when Marking as Received (or Not)

  • Now when you're marking a pending payment as received (or not received) you can amend the Planner Note, just like you can with Manual Payments.
  • From Manage Payments, when a payment is "Pending," click the ACTIONS button to "Mark as Received" as shown:

💸 Catchup Payments - include or exclude "Due Soon" payments

  • When a Traveler books in late or has overdue payments, YouLi automatically includes the "Catchup" (overdue) payments in the total due.
  • By default, the Invoice will also include any "Due Soon" payments. These are payments that are due within 7 days - so they would qualify to send automated reminders.
  • This is not always desirable if you have Travelers that are more budget-conscious and want to pay their deposit today, but not the next Installment until it is due (7 days from now).
  • So we now have the option to exclude the Due Soon payments!🙌

💳 Make a Charge now enabled for PayPal


This feature works really well with the "Pay By Phone" option, so your Travelers (usually older) can call and read their card to you over the phone. Then your staff and enter the info from Manage Payments via Make a Charge.

Now enabled for PayPal-connected accounts.

Bug Fixes & Enhancements

  • 💪 8455 - Balance Due will now sort to the bottom on Trip Page invoice even if there is no due date - (but you should still set a due date!)
  • 💪 8458 - Reduce data required when accessing Accounts pages, should improve performance
  • 🐞 8371 - Some activities did not have the right type in the Trip Activity Feed, these have been fixed to make searching more accurate.
  • 🐞 8339 - Secondary Travelers added to the booking during checkout will now have their own Reference Code generated, this is important if they are removed from the Invitation Group in future and need their own code.
  • 🐞 8449 - PayPal payments will now record properly in the activity feed and send the correct confirmation emails
  • 🐞 8450 - Resolved incident with broken links in reminder emails - clients without White Label Domain may have received complaints of broken links in reminder emails.
