β Credits that actually show as a Credit
Previously, to 'Apply Credit', you'd effectively be adding a Manual Payment, but it just had a different default label.
Now, when selecting "Apply Credit" from Manage Payments, it will be handled properly as a Credit.
TIP: If you prefer to add credits as a manual payment like you always have: You can still apply those using Record Manual Payment. Just be sure to change the label to "CREDIT" when recording. Manual payment amounts will NOT be included in the DISCOUNTS & CREDITS subtotal (regardless of their label)
If you're listening to webhooks (including via Zapier), be sure to check for "Credit" as the payment method to handle these properly.
This allows YouLi to properly display these on Manage Payments, TripBoard and in the Sub-totals as a Credit rather than as a payment.
Credits will continue to appear on the Trip Page as they always have, be sure to adjust the label when applying the credit to show the reason.
TIP: This is a great way to effectively apply a COUPON if they have already paid their deposit. Simply enter the coupon name as the label when applying a credit.

π± Manage Payments
Easy to find "Balance" when Applying a Credit or Manual Payment
Previously you had to know that "--Do not apply to installment--" meant the payment was being allocated to the Balance.
That triggers the Skipped Installment feature - which is not always what you need.
So now the "Balance" installment is labelled clearly, so you know what you're choosing.
#9653 - We just did this because it makes more sense :-)
Set the Label for Mark as Received
Ever wished you could add a label when receiving a payment that was initiated by the Traveler on the Invoice?
NOW you can!
Similar to the way a Manual Payment label appears, this will appear on the Trip Page invoice as the label in bold, like this example "FROM BOOKING IN 2020":

Bank Transfer now shows the configured Label for you too!
1. For "Bank Transfer" option, it was showing BANK TRANSFER, regardless of what appears to your travelers, this now matches what they see. So if you have "Transfer via Zelle" or "Pay by Check" showing on the Invoice, it now appears the same way in Manage Payments.

β‘οΈ Change Charge Description to use "Trip Short Name"
If you use the "Trip Short Name" to create unique codes your Finance team needs to see for reconciliation, then you need to take advantage of this option, to pass the "Trip Short Name" instead of the full "Trip Name" to Stripe (or whichever gateway you have connected).
Defaults to "Trip Name", go to Account -> Payments to change

π₯ Add User with Timezone, Country and Phone
Make sure your new team member sees reports in the CORRECT timezone, set it when adding them to the team (they can always adjust later from User Profile).
These three fields can now be set when adding/editing team members:
- Phone (shown on Trip Page if they are Listed as a Contact)
- Country of Residence
- Timezone (required)

βοΈ Add a new Required Field to a Custom or Profile Form to make it appear in Traveler To Do
Did you forget to include an essential field in one of your custom or profile forms?
No worries!
You can add the field even after you've collected responses, and if you make it REQUIRED, then the task will no longer show as completed - even if they have completed the form.
They will be shown the incomplete task but still have all the other responses included in the form when they click to complete it.
(This has always been true for Profile & Registration forms and is now true for Custom forms as well)

β View As to toggle Add-on response after Due Date
Did you know that as a Planner you can still change an Add-on response after the due date?
But your Travelers cannot!
Now there is a tooltip explaining why you can - and reassuring you that your Travelers don't have the same power.
You must be logged in and use VIEW AS to access this feature.
#9543 - Thanks for all your feedback on the confusion - hopefully this clarifies the feature
π Task Names no longer Upper Case for Sales Page style
To create consistency with the Sales Page style (inspired by Wanderlust Entrepreneur), we've changed the casing for Task Names to match Highlights:
So if you're using the Sales Page Trip Page Style, be sure to check the casing of your Task Names as it is no longer upper cased.

COMING SOON
These changes didn't make this update, but will be out this month.
Ability to move an Allocation from one Installment to another
If you're finding there's an issue with an Invoice, it could be because an allocation is on the wrong installment. This happens sometimes, with Transfers or Chip Away or Manual Payments that weren't applied correctly.
For now, you can open a ticket so we can re-allocate for you, soon you'll be able to move them yourself.
Allocate a Manual Payment to an Installment that is Partially Paid
Previously you could not allocate another manual payment if there was already a partial payment made to that Installment. So you might have allocated to the Balance before it's the right time (triggering Skipped Installments)
NOW: You can allocate a payment to any installment. The default will be the next installment that has a due amount.
#8616 - Thanks to everyone for sharing feedback to improve this experience
