How-to: Restrict Bookings to specific email domains - great for schools and corporate clients (B2B)
If you sell B2B you might have a trip that needs to be restricted to people with certain email domains, like "@thatschool.edu". Use this Trip Setting to add the restriction.
Available Plans
This feature is available on ALL Plans. Enjoy!
This is not related to website domains or the email domain Planners send from, this relates to the email domains of the Travelers registering or booking on your trips. If you're looking for White Label Email Sending information learn more here.
Why restrict email domains?
If you sell B2B you might have a trip that needs to be restricted to certain email domains, like "@thatschool.edu".
This ensures you don't have people booking onto the trip that should not be joining. It makes for an exclusive feel.
We do not recommend using this feature for general B2B Trips.
How-to Update Trip Settings
When viewing your Trip as a Planner
- Click on the pencil icon on the left navigation to UPDATE TRIP.
- Then click the SETTINGS tab to switch to that form.
- Scroll down to the GROUP & EMAIL DOMAIN OPTIONS
- Check the box next to "Enable for Check Flow"
- Two fields will appear to configure this feature
- Enter a comma separated list of domains, these must include the @ and have valid domain format (like "@thatschool.edu")
- Review the Error Message and change as needed. We generally don't recommend telling Travelers what the valid domains are here for security reasons, but it's up to you.
- Scroll up or down to click SAVE CHANGES button
NOTE: The changes are applied immediately for any NEW bookings via Checkout Flow, but does not apply to anyone already invited onto the Trip or anyone added via the Trip CRM by a Planner.
What about Register to Pay?
This feature is not supported with Register to Pay. If you need this feature but don't need accept payments, switch to Bookings Mode and create a $0 Package instead.
